Once the transaction is completed, you need to send your transaction id by email to vinay.tyagi@indiatimes.co.in (or SMS "GIFT" to 58888). You'll then receive a Gift Voucher on the same email id within 15 days of intimation to indiatimes. After that simply log on to http://www.gift.shopping.indiatimes.com/ and redeem your free gift voucher.

Thanks for this information, this is really a new thing for me since I was not aware of any such offer although I book ticket on irctc regularly.
